Sure does have a lot of "Floch-like" characteristics, and doesn't match to good Otto Schickle crosses. Sorry man, don't like this one!

Ok guys, last one!

Ventured out of my "comfort zone" on these, and sure hope I didn't screw up too bad. A Crown Order medal, unmarked, a small, light weight medal that is much smaller than I thought it would be. Crown is the type welded to the top of the medallion, with a small hairline crack on one side which suggests to me that the crown is a 2-piece deal. (could be off though) Appears to be good to me, detail of the Crown Order is fantastic. Thanks guys,

Hi guys,

3rd one, and the one which I am really unsure on. Arms are, to my eye, a bit skewed and not symmetrical. But comparing the eagle to the ones on medalnet.net it looks OK, and upon really examing the cross with a loop found the maker mark "ZEHN" stamped extremely lightly between the 3 and 6 o'clock arms, and read that ZEHN is an accepted Berlin maker of this award. Appreciate any info guys!

Second one, Bavarian MVK 2 w/swords, on what appears to have been ripped off a medal bar at some point. (stuffing in the ribbon.) Marked for Gebruder Hemmerle "GH" on swords, haven't seen any other additional markings on the cross itself. Looks OK to my inexperienced eye, with what almost looks like a gold wash (residue?) in some of the corners of the arms. Appreciate your guys' input on this one too!

These just came in, and I must admit that I should have done A LOT more research before placing a bid, but researching while they were in-bound in the mail I am semi-convinced that they are actually good pieces. Would really appreciate some expert's opinions on these, and sure thank everyone I asked about them previously. Hope the pics are good enough! Thanks guys,

Up first is a Bavarian MVO 4th class. Marked for Jakob Leser, "950 JL" on the cross itself. Also carries "900" silver content stamping on the ring, as well as what I believe is a swan (thanks Andreas @ medalnet.net!) on the obverse side of the ring. The import mark for "pieces made from silver, imported from countries without trading contract to France, since 1893" has me pretty confused though as it's Bavarian. No silver markings on the swords that I can see.Appears to be a spot of enamel repair on obverse 9 o'clock arm, but not extrememly noticeable. Sure appreciate your guys' opinions!

The 55 has the frame flaws one expects to see on these, with the "squished" beading. (haha not exactly a very technical term) And both in great shape, congrats!
