And to prove it, this is one most rare photo - this pilot earned his badge in 1925. A model 1916 badge. But the photo is taken in the very late 1940's. Or even could be 1950-51. The same old model royal badge, with an early model socialist pilot badge installed ontop /or instead of/ the royal crown!

Finally, the model 1916 Bulgarian badges also qualify for "Axis badges". Because these were awarded to pilots in the 1920's, till 1936 or 37. And some of the pilots, who had this type of badge, wore it till the end of WW2.

These badges also had miniatures, for wear on civil clothes. Here is the miniature, compared to the full size badge:

...and the thick frame, and the unusual nut. Anther unusual thing - double stamping /the popular Miloshev. His name peeks under the pin soldering on the pilot badge, too/. Very nice quality!

Observer badge from that type - you can notice the small rivet under the crown...

The back side reveals the main difference - the frame is thick. The round nut with two holes on the screw is also different, compared to the more common type with flat sides and no holes. The pilot has ruined a bit the badge, cutting the screw and adding a pin, but in fact I like it more with that personal touch

And here comes the other type, IMO earlier manufacture, much less encountered. On the front, the visible difference with the badge shown above is the presence of a small rivet, left side under the crown

The frame is made of stamped tin

Talking about the Bulgarian badges - Bulgarian made, I think there are two types to be distinguished.
First, the well known type

Thank you very much! Just to confirm, there is no X and the last number is 5, it was confirmed.

Thank you very much, Rick! The bayonet belongs to a friend. From the picture, maybe it did not have a X, but I asked him to examine it carefully. Again from the picture, the last number looks to me possible 6, but again I asked him to check that in hand, too

Hi guys, this marking is found on the handle of a German WW1 Mauser bayonet. Can you tell me, which unit is this? /if this means a unit.../
VIII.14.2.K.115
Thanks!

The second one does not look related to the first one. I mean both are sports, but to different people. The second one was awarded posthumous - after the name is written "posmurtno". Or maybe it is the wrong photo, because you say it is 1984, while the entry is for 1974?

Duda :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky: As she made it through school with that name /something like "Fat"/, after that surviving the illegal partisan years must have been a candy :cheeky:
Izrailova - maybe of jewish descent.

I think it was a stupid idea, those documents would be "valid without photo". They make a special place for a photo and then go further to specially point it is valid without photo... The comrades should be not so lazy and go and make photos, I think it was going to be more fun seeing faces behind the awards... but anyway, it is the way it is - valid even without photo

Not so fast, guys! It must be discussed first at the XLMCVIII Congress of the Communist Party :cheeky:

Nice! The owner has some special rights: First, 50% off the tickets for Rail, automobile and water transport in the country. That's Ok. Second, free use of public transport within the town. Ok, too. But the third is really cool: free use of the public baths in the country
