    1. As some of you may know my main thing is putting research material, i.e. ranklists, on CD. I am able to get ranklists on to CD in Adobe PDF format. It has been suggested to me to having the SS Dienstaltersliste on CD would be very helpful. I did some research and discovered that the 2 best SS Dienstaltersliste to have is 1938 (December) and 1944 (July). My questions are .. Have either of these books been reprinted? Whould it be of value to have the SS Dienstaltersliste on CD? I saw that Deltev Niemann sold an original 1936 SS Dienstaltersliste for 1000 euros. What you a fair price be for a 1936 and 1938 SS Dienstaltersliste on CD? Any help is appreciated.

I don't know if you're still looking for these lists or not but I found a company that has started to publish facsimiles of the 44 list(s) and the 43 list.

The 44 Dienstaltersliste Volume holds the Jan, July and October lists.

The 43 Volume contains only the Oct 1943 list.

Looks like a pretty decent reproduction at a relatively reasonable price - they even managed to include the notes in the margins of the pages.

    2. That's for the SS, not the RAD.

I've never seen that edition before.

Chris found original copies from his home territory. Amazing what is still uncatalogued in forgotten basements. :jumping:

Thanks Rick. I should've paid closer attention to the title.

The Dienstalterslisten portion was what caught my eye.

I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part.

In any event - if anyone does know where I could locate the remainder of this 38/39 SS Officers list I'd be really interested in hearing about it.

    3. Finally got it! The Dienstaltersliste 1938 of the RAD/Reichsarbeitsdienst. Apparently totally neglected and never published. It comes in 4 volumes, first one Generalarbeitsf?hrer (Generalmajor equivalent) down to Arbeitsf?hrer (equivalent Major):

I was hoping you might be able to answer a couple questions for me.

I have what I assume is just a portion (probably the index) of the list you've found. If/when you have the time could you confirm that for me?

Also - you said that the 4 volume Dienstaltersliste you have was never published. Is this a copy you've been able to access at an archive somewhere? ...and if so where?

Here are the first 2 pages of the list index I have. I pulled them from microfilm at the National Archives.

      Thanks in advance.
