Excellent, now if only someone could tell me about the first badge .....
Lenin's 100 years anniversary. silver 875/1000. produced in 1969-1970 at Leningrad jeweller workshop (it is not possible to observe at your picture but there should be letters "ЛЮ")
the 2nd one is clear. the 3d is 300 years ann. of Rear (Logistics) Services of Defence Ministry. it is interested to note when the defence ministry selebrated its 200 y. ann the rear services selebrated 300 y. ann (they count since 1700)

I can prove that it is authentic. Call it "curiosity killed the cat" but I couldn't resist ordering the award card for this one. And yes, now that I have it I can say that this one was actually awarded and is 100% good. So now, we know that orders in the 100000 range were issued in the late 1980s.
Pretty cool!
Dave
Waiting for the award card!!!

And to Dima "cosinus" it is possible (for anybody whose computer can access Cyrillic) to look UP that Military Unit number to see what it was.
Just came back from Poland, having been really missing you
His position was Aviation Commander Deputy on Engineering-Aviating Service. he was responsible for maintaining and prepairing aircrafts and helicopters for flying.
Unit 42822 - Anti-Submarine Aviation Regiment including aircrafts, helicopters and hydroplanes (!).
Place: USSR, Far East, Nickolaevka.
That is all I could find...

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, you have a list of the Military Unit Numbers?
Prepare for 1 million questions!
Could you please tell me what THIS one was, 12 August 1980:
[attachmentid=48452]
1) Unit 44708 is in RED ink
Thank you, Rick !!! Really good question!!! But I am 101% sure you know this military unit!!!!! ...
Unit 44708, It seems The Main Administrative Board for International Military Cooperation of The Defence Ministry, for example, this unit existed in... Maputu, Mozambic... Lesotho... I guess if all military attache belong to the unit ? The unit 44708 still exists...
One small secret: I use www to find the both military units, nothing else!!! I simply wrote "?/? 44708" in Yandex search system and got an answer in 5 sec
I am leaving for Poland for a week and maybe would not visit you, my friends...
Regards, Dima

The highest number I've seen with the orderbook (so it was issued) was 106081. I think that this orderbook is authentic, however I can not prove that. Anyway, take a look and tell me your opinions.
Unfortunately, MONDVOR, I cannot prove it either... I was offered a month ago empty order books, I would try to restore the contact and buy one. If we know what empty books' serial numbers were sold we would have some judgement. I have seen 105*** Crab with filled Order Book and I was sure the book is not a fake but when it was filled is difficult to say... We cannot be sure before it is confirmed by archives...

Comrade Kizyatov during offensive battles for Vilnius liberation 7 July ? 13 July 1944 showed he was courageous and unwaving soldier. During streets? fights he caused great losses of enemy forces by fire of his machine-gun providing his group movement forward. An enemy?s group of submachin-gunners sitting in a building kept a crossroad. Idrisov (that is a mistake: Idris or Ildris is his name, but a person who made the application made a mistake calling him ?Idrisov?) changing his positions he killed the enemy?s submachine-gunners and as a result his group moved forward taking up advantages positions.
Deserve of awarding by Order ?Slava?
Something like this... (I am not good in translating official papers knowing 200 English words only )

Dear All,
What do you think about this number on a type 1 Polar Star? The "1" is longer than the rest. I don't think it was added but still would like to hear your opinions. Would be great if a similar number could be located for comparison.
Thanks and best regards,
Albert
Defenitely there was an old number below the figures! The figures look like they were made by unprofessional hands. This hand-writing is not professional one from the mint.

Do you know of the other number ranges of Homeland 3rds that were not issued? From what I understand, there was a vast range somewhere in the 70000-80000 range that wasn't awarded, yet have made it out into the collector's world. I have heard the same for the 90000 range. Also, there's one dealer I know who was actually offered 3000 of them in the 120000 range, but he only bought 1000 of them... they were all unissued as well. (They were actually in crates in parts, and he was given the "official" tools to assemble them! I've tried to buy the tools he was given, but no luck so far...) Any help would be appreciated!
Dave
As for exact numbers I think MONDVOR knows much more than I do . I guess today 70000 (50%) are issued and 70000 (another 50%) are unissued. The most "popular" numbers at the market today 100000-112000, 137000-139000. The last range is packed in original boxes with printed numbers and they definitely mint-made ones. A few weeks ago I got information that there was a crab #1408**. That would be the highest number I have met if I am lucky enough to buy it... I just bought 139*** to observe and 80000 (!!!) for fun ...

Other crabs' news: Now there is a new wave of "not-given" - not-awarded 3d cl crabs in Russia. In original matching-numbered boxes with numbers > 138***. By the way, the same with orders for Personal Courage with #>77**.

Dima, what is the name of your friend?
Andrey, unfortunately I cannot disclose his name now and maybe in the future. He has been attcked so many times last years by Russian stupid stubborn impudent rude *uck*** dealers that he does not want to attract more attention. I also incline to think I would hide numbers on photos.
If even you understand who I mean please keep silence! As for photos I would do it in details and share... If you want to know more pls contact me: kosintsev@yandex.ru

Awarded all three Classes
Dare I ask what they were awarded for?
Order of Victory
He always jokes when people ask this... He says his unit was the best one - a winner of the socialistic competition of the year when first 3 class crabs came. And he was one of the first awarded. But... when the 2 class came there was an order to award only those who got the 3 class and had longest time after that... What happened when the 1 class came??? Excatly the same order!!! - that is his story and I do not change a single word!!!
regards, Dima

hello guys, I just talked to my friend who was awarded by all 3 classes of Crab... He told me an interesting story: he was awarded by the 1 class with #18. A year after he was called to return back the order. A few weeks after he was called to come to The Kremlin and then Brezhnev awarded him once more but ... by another number. He could not find differences between old and new one or simply did not recognize them.
He says #1 stayed in Brezhnev's collection.
Unfortunately I still have no time to visit him and make true pictures of original 1 class. I do hope in autumn I would do it and share with you, my friends...

it could be interesting to know more about this guy... Natsargdozh is a famous Mongolian author (1907-1937) and Gotoviy could be his son. It seems someone really tried to build his politian carreer as he became a honored KGB staff in 1958 and then entered the high CPSU school...
