Also, As Saiga is actually As Saiqa...and the 1990 date should be 1991 based on the timeline of the war. I picked those out right away, but I wasn;y going to question the guy...lol!

Recently purchased this from a friend. Came with details on where the items were found. The smock and the chest rig were from a previous deal with him so they are not detailed, but captured at Nasiriyah. His name is blocked for privacy.

Good helmets - but, what caught my attention was Brian mentioning that Canadian war issue had the broad Arrow inside a 'C'. For South Africa it was the broad Arrow inside a 'U'. The 'U' standing for UNION. What about other Commonwealth Countries ? This could make a very good post ..........
Here is a scan of a very rough sketch of some of the Commonwealth War Department stamps used during WWII. There are a few variations not shown.

Very interesting group.
I have a WWII service book that belonged to an American volunteer from Vicksburg, Michigan. He served in the VGC(Veterans Guard of Canada) and also had previous service in WWI with the Royal Canadian Forestry Corps.

I was pretty lucky to get this offered to me, but I know very little about Iraqi items. I'm a Commonwealth collector mainly.
