Anyway, can we be sure that these are really his orders? People say his HSUs are in a vault somewhere in Moscow.

Let's start with this.

Sorry for thinking they were stolen. I wasn't aware of this new method from the researchers. That way research can arrive much faster I guess. It seems like a spy movie with microfilm from Soviet documents.

I see that you have the original documents in your possession. I find it very sad that those archives were stolen in Russia. They are now not available for further research in Russia.

I have no idea from which period, but looking at the configuration I would say 70's - 80's. Interesting Bravery in fire medal.

Almost all Red Stars were produced in the Moscow Mint. Some early pieces were produced in the Krasnokamsk Mint and a later batch was produced in the 'Platinapribor' Factory in Moscow (Moskovsky Zavod Platinapribor - MZPP). The approximate serial number range for these MZPP Red Stars is 1,790,000 to 2,290,000 and 2,050,000 to 2,290,000, about 395,000 pieces in total.
Here's one of mine:
Thanks Auke for being more precise than me!

These are from the "Московском заводе "Платинаприбор" (Platinapribor factory). Look at page 4 of the Order of the Red Star from Mondvor website.
Here is the serial number range :
min - 1792337, max - 1945503.
min - 2051119, max - 2290504.

Where did you find the pics and do you have further information about the item & document
?
These came from a French forum. The guy who posted them probably took them from a Russian forum. Now it's on GMIC. An English forum.

And this is from another forum that I visit.

I just found that in the archives of emedals.ca I thought some might be interested to see this piece.
The Marshal?s Star, awarded to Marshals of the Soviet Union, instituted in September 1940. Star is made of 18 Kt. Gold, set with white gems. Weighs 32.7 grams. Star appears to be museum copy, or private purchase, not officially awarded Star. Comes with neck ribbon, and in fitted case. Very fine condition.http://www.emedals.ca/catalog.asp?item=R297

Shifting posts is quite tricksy, and things can easily get lost. Well done!
This moderation stuff is time-consuming, more than some may know.

Thank you Ed! I could't imagine how much time you would spend if you were moderating all the sub-forums that you are regularly visiting!

My favorite and probably one of the most important partisan orders. I love it! I have few in my collection.
Why don't you show us some pieces of your collection?

If you see anything else that should be transferred, just PM me.

There are 2 types of 2-nd and 3-rd classes.
1.1. Big white enameled circle and stars and letters on it.
1.2. Small white enameled circle and stars and letters on it.
Actually I don't really see the differences with the withe enamel circle.
I do see a small difference with the letters and a big difference with the size of the 2 stars.
