    1. I just bought one from Alexei this week. I was also proposed the one you are showing. It is sold $245 without booklet and $360 with booklet. As a student, it's not very resonnable for me to buy this kind of awards, but I wanted one pretty much. So I opted for one without booklet. Unfortunately, I had to go without documentation, otherwise it was too much for me. :(

      Here it is : # 66673

      I should receive it this week. :P

      Darrell, if you want pics of the ribbon of #80628, send me a PM.

      P.S.: You got better scans than me.

    2. General Chuikov (sp?). Led the defense of Stalingrad.

      Yes Darrell. This is General Vasili Chuikov, commander of Stalingrad defence troops. :D

      You are next to post a question or if Dave is ready, he can go for it. :beer:

      This general got a nice 20th anniversary medal with a special suspension I would mind having in my collection.

    3. I don't know how much were awarded yet, but I just ordered a small reference book about Yugoslavian medals & orders. I let you know when I'll received it. :unsure:

      The book is called : YUGOSLAVIA - Army Insignia and Decorations 1918-1990

      It is suppose to be a basic reference book with only black & white pictures. Although, I guess this is the only english book on Yugoslavian awards.

    4. Mmmh, I now think that you have the Yougoslavian version. I will have to say the opposite of Christophe. This one is easy to find. I bought the 2 versions this weekend. So I don't have them in my possession right now. Here are the pictures. You will see the differences.

      This one was made by the Soviet. It is suppose to be a WWII issued medal.

    5. Hi Soviet,

      I just picked one of these up at the MAX Show. This may be a relatively low level award; but there certainly is nothing low end about that enamel! Be careful if you really examine it closely, it can become hypnotizing - don?t you agree?

      Best wishes,

      Wild Card

      Hello Wild Card,

      Hope you got the one made by the Monetnyi Dvor in Moscow which is much nicer than the one made in Zagreb. The last one was made in yugoslavia after Tito broke with the Soviets. You can see the difference between both enamels.

      Left = Monetnyi Dvor

      Right = Zagreb mint
