I just bought one from Alexei this week. I was also proposed the one you are showing. It is sold $245 without booklet and $360 with booklet. As a student, it's not very resonnable for me to buy this kind of awards, but I wanted one pretty much. So I opted for one without booklet. Unfortunately, I had to go without documentation, otherwise it was too much for me.
Here it is : # 66673
I should receive it this week.
Darrell, if you want pics of the ribbon of #80628, send me a PM.
P.S.: You got better scans than me.

General Chuikov (sp?). Led the defense of Stalingrad.
Yes Darrell. This is General Vasili Chuikov, commander of Stalingrad defence troops.
You are next to post a question or if Dave is ready, he can go for it.
This general got a nice 20th anniversary medal with a special suspension I would mind having in my collection.

Ok so I'll go ahead.
Who is this general and for what is he known for?

I ever wonder if this flag is displayed in a museum or it disappeared?

Seems I know this kind of game.
Christoph, you put an easy question for people who are members of other forum.

I don't know how much were awarded yet, but I just ordered a small reference book about Yugoslavian medals & orders. I let you know when I'll received it.
The book is called : YUGOSLAVIA - Army Insignia and Decorations 1918-1990
It is suppose to be a basic reference book with only black & white pictures. Although, I guess this is the only english book on Yugoslavian awards.

Hello Laurence, nice order of Bravery you have.
I have just received today my medals of Bravery. You can see the diffence now.

This one is the common Yugoslavian made Medal of Bravery. Look the details are really different. The soldier and his riffle for example. Hope this helps.

Mmmh, I now think that you have the Yougoslavian version. I will have to say the opposite of Christophe. This one is easy to find. I bought the 2 versions this weekend. So I don't have them in my possession right now. Here are the pictures. You will see the differences.
This one was made by the Soviet. It is suppose to be a WWII issued medal.

This is the Soviet made. Right?

Thanks guys. Well actually the guys doesn't give us the opportunity to return them. It's a final sale. That's what scares me about the group.

Do you see something alarming in this group? I have never encountered 2 duplicated in a group. Thanks for your feedback.

Hmmm, I'm looking for a second class for a year or so and I haven't found any yet.
Maybe, because my connections are limited.
By the way, very nice Dave! As usual.

Here is the back of my Partisan Star 3rd class.

Also interesting to note was that he was KIA on 12 April 1942 - not three weeks after this tank battle.
Maybe the guy was just to crazy and was not afraid of anything.
The citation look like a rambo movie.
That's pretty amazing. To bad to what happened to the group. The history will be lost.

Hi Soviet,
I just picked one of these up at the MAX Show. This may be a relatively low level award; but there certainly is nothing low end about that enamel! Be careful if you really examine it closely, it can become hypnotizing - don?t you agree?
Best wishes,
Wild Card
Hello Wild Card,
Hope you got the one made by the Monetnyi Dvor in Moscow which is much nicer than the one made in Zagreb. The last one was made in yugoslavia after Tito broke with the Soviets. You can see the difference between both enamels.
Left = Monetnyi Dvor
Right = Zagreb mint

What do the other two classes of this award look like? I bet these are pretty expensive!
Best regards
Paul
Here is the 2nd Class. This one is also not so easy to find and is sold around 150 to 175 EUR. I'm still looking for one of those.

Here is the first class which I don't know the value and is extremely difficult to find.

Thanks guys for your answer. I guess I will not do the research on this small group. I will wait to get something better in my collection to research it.
