The medal is an original late war zinc version. The etui (case) is not for this medal. These medals were given out in paper envelopes. Value for a zinc Baden Verdienst Medaille is about 25 euro

Algeria : Medal of the Friends of the Algerian Revolution (Law 87-13 of 30 June 1987). Awarded to foreigner who supported the algerian revolution.

It seems it's a 2 classes medal,as specimen have been seen with emboidered gold star on ribbon.

It also seems that several algerian were awarded it,so maybe the the 2nd Class (without gold star on ribbon) is for foreigner & the 1st Class with gold star is for algerian citizen.But I have no proof (only a guess). From Algeria we lack of information much.

Those are fabulous photos! I have seen a picture of the first type and it's illustrated in my book, which came from someone I know from Berlin who went to the Hungarian War Museum. I have never seen them in wear nor knew that there was an intermediate form. This is why sharing this information is important - we're finally documenting and studying these wonderful rarities and placing them in proper context

Is there order of Titulli HERO I POPULLIT in Hungarian War History Museum? Did I miss something wonderful when I visited there in 2010?! :unsure:

It is a badge named "Longlive for January Revolution". January Revolution is one active in 1967 Cultural Revolution in Shanghai. If you need more information, I can post more.

Many collectors want to sell their collection to international buyers, but they have no access to international payment or other things. Some asked the ones like me who are familiar with global market to help them. If it is you, my dear Bob and Ed, how will you do if you encountered such situation? You will deny them? I think it is none of the business with a dealer's trustworthy or not. I obey the rules in this forum. So I did not list it here. But eBay do not, so I listed it there. I think you can't make conclusion that I am a bad dealer just for one dispute which is not mainly my fault.

I have good intention to help others, I definately don't know something unhappy happended, and made another man angry. Also, you can say it is plausible explanation, but I always insist this is my words from my heart!!

I know it is not good to make the private mail known to public, but I just want to defend myself in this matter. I just want to help 'usairforce'. He asked me to sell this item for him, so I listed it on eBay. I know GMIC do not allow the item you don't own to sell. But eBay has no such rule. That is why I just list on eBay, not here. Very sorry there happened a unpleased thing. 'usairforce' told me he really need money, and I told him if this item is sold from eBay, it can only accept Paypal payment in US dollars. In that case, I can't pay him RMB(Chinese Yuan). One or two days fter the item has been listed on eBay, he told me this item has been sold to a Chinese collector. He once told me Bob has the interest and want to buy it. That is true. But I am very very sorry I have no time to end this item. I am busy at my work these days. I went home every day after 21:00! I just enter my mail box to check the mails. So no time to do eBay business.

In fact, I and 'usairforce' are good friends. We are very very pleased to know Bob, Ed and other collectors in Mongolian community. And thanks Bob, he just accept my invitation to be my military collection magazine Clarion's consultant. I really do not want to do such bad things to others, I hope you can forgive our bad manners.

Some hopeful news: they CAN be researched. I am in touch with somebody with access to the right local authorities. It would go into too much detail right here right now to explain further. Depending on work priorities, I may decide to travel to North Korea Q1 next year to further pursue this.
