Hi there!
I want to show you remains from the German Uboat Base located in the Skjomen Fjord in the Narvik Area, Norway during the war. After a nice visit at the base area I startet my "climbing" to the top of a mountain near the fjord. It took me almost two hours to ascend the mountain but it was worth it. Some Kriegsmarine seaman had been there before me!
See picture! :)

Hi out there!
I found this dog tag on the shore many years ago when I visited Kafjord in northern Norway. (you know, Tirpitz were located there). Can you help me with the identification?

No markings! I havn?t seen those kind of figures before!
I wonder if one can find something written about the figures or if they just have disappeard into the forgetfulness of history!

Yes, It?s the same in Sweden and especially in Stockholm. There they still using thick armour plates from Tirpitz to cover temporary repairs in the
roads. Some of the plates are 3 cm thick.
In Tromsoe, where Tirpitz sank, there is a school still having Tirpitz turbines driven something!

Hi Peter!
Thank you for your detailed report! I can see that the cordite react in the same way as new forms of gun powder in modern shells.
