Elmar: I have ment the little ribbon(i dont mean the trifold ribbon).. As far as I know, ribbons (with or with without miniature) were introduced in A-H army during WWI.. so not everyone became a medal with little ribbon... so they had to buy it... or?
For those who would like to own one cased Karl-Troops cross, there is one now in auction...

Elmar Lang: I will look, when the cross arrives... I have few ribbons, so no problems with completing.. but I didn?t knew, that decorations were given to soldiers with ribbons, i thought they had to buy it.. :)

I think albanian legion had black-red kokarde on the fez.. the number on the fez is identification of the unit used from year 1917.. if I see good, is there BJ? - maybe bosn. herzegovinian j?ger bataillon?

The medals look like Czechoslovak Firefighters decorations, between wars period, maybe hungarian nationality living in southern parts of Slovakia... Ribbons are most three coloured - could be white, red and blue? but thats only an idea...

The case was bought with A-H Bronze Military merit medal (SIGNVM LAVDIS). But it doesn?t "fit" in there... And A-H decorations don?t have needles on ribbon...

John McEwen: The article is written in czech, only resume is in german, but if U can wait few days, i will try to translate it for you...
If you want, it?s possible to publish the article i mentioned. I know the authors and they agree. It?s normal here, that in czech journal are published translated articles from austrian or german journals, etc..
And one more question... are you going to write about cases and miniatures of this medal?

Thanks for the prompt reply. While I read French, German and some Italian, I can't read Czech. It is a pity!
John
Its written in czech language, but resume is in german... it costs only cca 16 EUR pro year (incl. postal costs in foreign).. every year there are 4 numbers, in every one is at least one article about A-H decorations...

Kev: As far as I know, the version with german Dezember instead of December was only one of many variants of this medal, made in the long period of War medal 1873 production... Has nothimg to do with hungarians...
Is it sure, that the legitimation is for war medal 1873 (Kriegsmedaille 1873)? Why would a veteran organization (Kameradschaftsbund) award it?
