Hi Elmar. Could you please add some photos and measures of it? There were only some more then 100 awarded, so pretty rare. I dont think it would be possible for me to add the cross with little decoration to this case

Timo: Awards of Prussian decorations to A-H soldiers:
EK1 - 341
EK2 - 7.478
KVM - 7.123
Of course EK2 could be awarded only to an officer of A-H army, for NCOs and men there was "Krieger-Verdienst Medaille"... :)

Its Austro-Hungarian patriotic badge from WWI period, in the shield is austrian double-headed eagle with coat of arms of Habsburg-Lothringen (so called little coat of arms of Austria)

.. Its a badge of 1. husar (cavalry) regiment of hungarian royal territorial army (Nepfelkeló) As hunyadi wrote, thats not text in a Slavic langueage (czech or any other) - those are names of places where the unit fought... There was surely no czech officer serving in hungarian honvéd or Nepfelkelo...

Two pieces from my collection I added yesterday... Serbian Medals of Merit towards the Royal House (1882-1889) - III. and IV.class in original cases from Rothe. The III.class is marked on the ring "FR" and hallmarked for silver (dogs head), the IV.class medal is not marked or hallmarked. unfortunatly both without ribbon

Helo... I am looking for any informations on this officer - Piletschka Emil.
Promoted to Cadet-Officiers-Stellvertreter in 1899. In "Schematismus" from 1909 is he mentioned as "Oberleutnant Piletschka Emil (EBOff - Ergänzungsbezirk Offizier???)of IR.40 - decorated with Military Jubilee Cross 1908. In "Ehrenbuch der O.-U. Wehrmacht" is he mentioned as Hptm. (Hauptmann) of IR.100 decorated with BMVM (Bronze military merit medal) in 1915...
Can anybody (who is an owner) look in the "Rangliste" of 1918? Or any oder sources on any informations about him?
Thanks.. Iver

Austrian medal bar from WW1

He was surely an officer... He has the Military - Jubilee cross 1908, but no Jubilee medal 1898, so that means his military career could start after 1898. He has Silver, so as Bronze Military Merit Medal, but no MVK (Military Merit Cross) - maybe because of his injury he could not "go back" to front line. For an "Oberstleutnant" he has quite inconsiderable decorations. No MVK, no EKO, no FJO, nothing. I think he could "finish" the war with the rank of leutnant/oberleutnant and was promoted after the war...
