Hello,
Excellent additions => just love it. Thanks already towards the persons who have replyed.
I have questioned a bit arround and did come up with the following, indeed 3 types of attachement do exist.
1) Smal rings on top of the order (loose swords) = Hauptmunzamt Stuttgart
2) Swords soldered at top of the order = Eduard Foehr
3) 3 smalle segments besides each other (loose swords)
(Thanks in this towards Mr. Bretzendorfer & the website : Kunsho)
Cordial greetings and thanks

Hello Rick,
No picture at this very time (these will come within time), there are swords attached and it is part of a big medal bar. So a weight determination will not be a option (as i do not want to destroy such a beautifull object).

Hello Rick,
Thank you for the reply. Here is the award wich i am asking info on.
How can one distinguish iff it is gold, are these Wurttembergers marked ?
No names or lists known? How did then for example the number of awards did become known (there where iff i remember correctly about 1300 awarded ?
So the former wearer was at least either a Hauptmann or a Major.
Does anyone know whatfor where these awarded?, bravery in the face of the enemy or for merit?

Hello,
I have a few questions on the Wurttemberg Friedrichsorder, especially about the 1 e class with swords.
* are they always made out of Gold, or do they also exist in gilded silver?
* are there producers known?, iff yes, how can one distinguish the differences between these?
* are there lists published from teh recipients?
* These are probably only for "Hauptleute & Majors"?
Probably a few stupid questions but once in a bit of time we need to expand our knowledge (as im am normally looking at Zink pieces )
Cordial greetings + thanks for the help,

Hello,
When looking through my other pictures from this grouping i found yet another nit picture. And who did we find between his comrades?
Interesting to see is that the officer in front does wear the para badge as well as the Oberfeldwebel besides him (and that one does even wear a aerial clasp - transporters !!!!!!!!! ). And in the background we do find our glider party member again
Cordial greetings,
ps: glider troops where quite a strange mix it seems

Hello,
He was indeed already of some age => on his shoulderboards we can see the so called "Offz. Anw?rter Litzen", so he was in the running to become a officer.
Mayby he was already a HJ member (and later at some function for sure => hence the HJ award) at the early stage of the party + that can also explain his NSDAP long service awards.
What awards could rank before the NSDAP long service awards? , mayby that can give a clue into the correct direction?

Hello,
Well here is a detail out of a picture from my humble collection, it does show a (at this time unidenityed) Luftwaffe soldier with a rather interesting ribbon bar.
Check it out + feel free to comment as i am curious to find out what the ribbon's on his bar are

Hello,
Thanks for the reply (please do not call me expert => as i am not some kind of god who is sitting on a clowd and who does know it all. A expert is a person who did make all mistales already once, i do believe that and hope that i still have a lot of space to make some mistakes )
Your A grade badge is a early one, it does bear a low number and i do date it as late 1929 - early 1930's .
Thanks anyway for showing these.

Hello,
Thank you for posting these
It is interesting for me to see that the "Bonner Fahnenfabrik etc... " has used 2 types of lettering to mark their products.
Can you date the A grade badge?, as you have noted that these are all from the same holder (any name known?)
Very nice badges !!!
ps: my first name is Stijn

Hello,
And here is the reverse of my beauty .
It bears nr. 971, however the former wearer remains unknown towards me at this point (mayby one day it will be clear?)
What are the highest numbers that are encountered so far on these badges or at award documents for these ?

Hello Wood,
Thank you, can you post them here?, both front and reverse?

Hello,
Thank you Rosenberg, much appreciated to scan the booklet
Are there persons who have such badges with maker marks?, so far the following maker marks are known towards me at this point:
* D(eumer - L?denscheid)
* Steinhauer & Luck - L?denscheid
* Bonner Fahnenfabrik - Bonn
Any others?

Hello,
Here is a comparable gem => the enameled birdy's have the same type off crakcs in the wings as your family badge Chris.

Hello,
Yes i can confirm that there are no numbers to be found on the reverse.
It is sad that such pieces have ripped apart (and i am relatively certain that that is still the case today due to simple reasons as ignorance and greed.)

Hello,
I just realized we had not seen a award document that did belong towards this rare badge => here is one from the personal collection.
The person was in the military when the award was bestowed (he was a Silver C holder from 1938 serie's).

Landwehr Dienstauszeichnung - Wurttemberg
in Germany: Imperial: The Orders, Decorations and Medals of The Imperial German States
Posted
Hello,
Oh my, that is clear
So lets get a bit theoretical, could a active WW1 officer receive such a Landwehr DA ? For example where they issued during the war? or do they date from before the big war when they are found on a medal bar with some other lametta ?
Cordial greetings,
