The die flaws on the original shields are present on your one....nice shield..... . If possible could you post scans of the shield and the cloth. Also the reverse of the shield as well....should be 4 prongs.

I think that it is not really hard to find any marker of pilot badges. The real goal is to find them even in a perfect condition. This seems to be hopeless by some markers - as the OM for example.

The copies I know had no function like in this case (donation). They normally only have a nazi devise

In my opinion it is definitely an original coin. It is typical that the lines are not really sharp as real coins for paying.

These coins have bin used for collecting money for a SS Standarte. You can find them also for the other paramilitary organisations. Normally they are made of aluminium.
