    2. Hi RaZpuTiN,

where is the Silver content mark of 800?

You can find there LOOS at the bottom of the left picture, and that is the engraver.

This is a medal for love and poetry. :D

      Regards

      Uwe

      Hi Uwe

The seller told me of the content mark. But now I see that you a correct and indeed it's the name LOOS and not 800.

Any more info on this engraver?

I'll see if I can get it at a cheap price.

I know nothing about WWII german stuff but I seem to recall a fairly lengthy discussion of the "Azad Hind" ["Free India"] troops not too long ago on some part of this site.

Off the top of my head, the Azad Hind were recruited among Indian Army POWs captured (mostly) in North Africa. I believe they only ever amounted to a couple hundred men and were, after some false starts, eventually taken into the SS and organized as an anti-aircraft battery which may or may not have seen service late in the war (in Germany?).

Don't know if that rules in or out any of the ribbons on the bar but hope it's some help. Ask Ed Haynes for more info.,; he's the Indian Army guru around here!

Here is a site by a member this community i believe. http://users.skynet.be/hendrik/eng/39india.html

It give quite an good overview on awards given to members of the Indian Legion and Indian National Army. All minted in Vienna by Rudolf Souval.

And thank you Mr. Monahan i'll forward this thread to Mr. Haynes.

    4. Hello every one.

I am new to this forum and this is my firts post here.

I have the opertunity to buy this cased Mechlenburg Grffen Order for around 800 euro and wanted to know if this is a fair price.

They are quite rare and you do not see them come up for sale very often so pricing them is quite hard. My friend Mike who has a big imperial collection thinks that it is a fair price but I wanted to get other opinions.

      Regards

      Peter

They are indeed rare and I think that's a fair price for this (Rose?) piece.
