This creditrisk_tiger has been picking up some nice pieces for a time now.

Well, I was at a graduation and missed the end of this auction. 187- Euro and I think it was a STEAL! Hopefully, someone here won this little gem. I think I have seen less than a dozen real ones... ever.
Had it bookmarked but totally forgot about it.

They left the 3rd ID in december 1916... "251 divisions" has them leaving for Courland... but then lists them with the 3rd RD on the Western front. When DID they arrive at the 3RD? Did they do a short stop in Kurland before heading west?
Thanks
Chris
I have no answer to your question, having tried to find their Regimentsgeschichte at a decent price for a time, but is wondering if this will be another one of your write-ups?
As i have some interest in them myself.

I always appreciate your write-ups.
Thank you very much for going thru the trouble publishing them.

Those were some crappy auction-pictures. Proves you could still make some finds. Congratulations to you.

A nice group to Oberst Enno Erich von Limburg Hetlingen
So you were the one that snatched it before my eyes.
At least it became a part of an good collection.

@RaZpuTiN
Very nice cross! It looks like silver guilted...a late cross from WW1, right?
Best regards
Solomon
Yes, i would also take it for an late war example. This was the first cross of the Lippe-Detmolds Hausorders that I had the pleasure to fiddle with hands on, of course with the mandatory cottongloves.
Unfortunatly somebody with a bigger wallet wanted it more than me.
The hardships are plentyful when in the arms of higher education, i'll just have to bide my time.

Now that it has ended, what do you think of it?
The price might reflect it in some way.

Yes it is.
Maybe it's good and people is lurking on it, thereby the lack of respone?
