unlike the Golden Grain medal I posted 2 days ago, this one I got from ebay.
I'm pretty sure that this is a FAKE because It looks simply to good.
But I'm not an expert in chinese medals, so can someone confirm this?
cheers

Gentleman
I brought this medal back from China. I think this is an Order of the Golden Grain. What i don't know is the class or for what reason it was awarded?
I think this is not a fake, right?
Thank you

This medal is in my collection for a wile, unfortunately I'm not an expert in Indochina colonial medals. I know the history about DDP, I even visited DDP once on a travel to vietnam . I bought this medal in Hanoi in a small backyard shop after askin myself thru the city to find old medals fo houers. To cut to the point; was this only avardet to the veterans of the Battle? If i remember Bernhar B. Fall's "Hell in a very small place" right there were only about 12000 defenders. So, is this hard to find, expensive?
Thank you

If this is General Hisaichi Terauchi (promotet to War minister 1936) this will help out:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hisaichi_Terauchi
to identify the medals by the painting is hard, but the long one on his right with the red ribbon is for sure a french l?gion d'honneur.

So i got this badge which gives me some riddles; This looks like a pilot-wing and i think this is JDF. Can somone help me out with confirming this information or maby date this badge? I bought this in Taipei (Taiwan) in a antique shop about a year ago...
