Don I searced up my Cone and read a little about these. From the photos he shows (Type III un viewable) I would say that my example would be the more common Type II in nickel/silver. What type would you conclude yours to be. Maybe it is my addition but I can't make out exactly what the Type III should look like. Note my odd pin set-up. It does work however. Robert

Don Correct. 18mm it is. I notice that my example has a hole in the center of the dot on the bow at the bottom. Did these come in 2 or 3 Types? Cheers Robert

It just chaps my hide a tad because this came from a "reputable dealer" and no mention was ever made of a repair. The job was well done except the pebbles are gone in that spot. Thanks Men. I noticed the repair as soon as I had it in hand. Of course I couldn't see it from thew seller's scan. As a matter of fact, I had to e-mail him because I couldn't make out the maker either. When he replied Mayer I jumped as I only know of Don's example. I can allways mail it back. The repair doesn't detract too much actually but a repir it is just the same. What do you guys think of the rivets? Ther eagle appears the same as Don's example as well. heers Robert

PS I will now add this badge to my list of wants when I attend a show next week. For some unknown reason, these shooting badges are generally not that popular. Hard to explain..

Don I couldn't resist this B. H. Mayer. It appears someone along the way made a feeble attempt to clean the reverse. Also, notice if you would the way the rivets have been flattened unlike your example. Also, it appears as if it has been repaired in the top right corner of the green as that area is lacking pebbling. Have a good day all. Robert

My example of which i spoke. The needle is so dainty, it is hard to imagine how it survived intact for 70+ years. On that note, do any of you folks ever ponder the life and history of any of your pieces? Some look so fresh it makes one wonder where and how they where kept out of harms way (children or disinterested heirs just to name a few) for all these years?

Gents Due to international monetary valuations and the huge spike in prices over here to offset the inequality I have still been in a state of semi-hibernation but I couldn't resist this one. I googled Lobeda and found it lies on the eastern outskirts of Hamburg. As you can see it is only slightly larger than the DSB but just as dainty. Carl Wild/Hamburg on the reverse. I wasn't able to locate it in Husken either. Notice the musical symbol turns in the opposite direction. perhaps there are some good Hamburgers that might know a little more of Lobeda.
