Now that the scanner is warmed up a closer peek at the Type I Frauenschaft please. Ditto Dan about your duplicates Don. Thanks for sharing. Robert

Wow Don, If and when you have the time and inclination, could you please post an image of the reverse of the Frauenhilfedienst badge? Thank You and Congrats. Robert

Benten, Very nice and looks professionally done. This custom piece took me quite a while to identify. It came from a dealer as a "homemade industial logo". I just liked the green enamel so I went for it. I posted it on forums and asked around to no avail. Then one day I was casually looking thru my Husken book and lo and behold.......... What do you think? Robert

Benten, That's a beauty. Great with a white shirt and black tie. Any engravings on it? Also, if you could show the reverse, I am curious as to what kind of securing device it has. Thanks for showing this to us. Robert

[attachmentid=31028]On secon thought, it might not be St. & L. My son took my loup to school today for science project. Robert

Hello James, I beleive itis Sieinhauer & Luck Ludenscheid. That is if I read my logos correctly. It looks like the logo on a St. Louis Cardinals baseball player's cap. Robert

Kev, Very interesting group. Would you happen to know what the back of the book says? Thanks for showing this. Robert

Peter, Correct......that's a pinback.

Slightly off topic and not an organizational badge, I thought I would post this to compliment James' fine minature party badge. Robert

Don, That had to be a pleasant suprise to find the badge to match the photo. Would the back of the photo have any writing on it? And before I forget and have to post again. The reverse. Have a nice weekend.

Don, This is my first glimpse at this rare badge other than in reference books. Congrats. In this instance, did you happen upon the photo first and then the badge or vice versa? That is a great way to collect. In essence, you are putting a face to the badge. I wonder how many of those were issued. Probably not too many I suspect. Thanks for showing badge and photo. Robert

Don, You are too humble. Seen far less than not very often. Let me see if I can very roughly translate. Would this badge be some kind of Silesian Home to National Socialism badge for 15 years? Just a rough guess w/o dictionary. Thanks for showing this Don. A maker on the reverse? Robert

Ralf,
Are all of the SA II Reserves different makers?
Robert,
No problem, here it is, the maker seems to be etched into the back it says E. Schmidhaussler, Pforzheim.
Cheers
Don
Don, Same maker, diferent placement of marking. I don't care for the solder residue on mine. Maybe a re-attachment? Thses are on the scarce side, no? Thanks for posting the photo. Thanks eve more for starting this thread. Now it is so busy we are all posting at once. Feast to famine to feast. Robert

Another RLB Type. This one is very dainty measuring only approx. 15mm across. I have a pin-back version as well if any one would like to see it some time. Robert

Here is another version of RLB. Cone is a little vague in this area I believe. Were there 4 types of RLB badges? Don, if you have the time and inclination, could you please show a reverse image of your Sangerbund? I have one as well but am not completely comfortable with it. I am not too worried in that it came from a well-known dealer with the lifetime guarantee. My only question there would be his life or mine? Have a great day. Robert

Robin and Don, Thank you both for viewing this (and the 35 others in the past week) and Robin I appreciate the thumbs up. I am still hoping someone has an example with a mm on it. Robert

Gents, I know the copycats have gotten theirclaws into this organization as well. Not to the same degree as the NSAD badge I beleive but nevertheless I see a lot of stinkers out there. I have allways assumed that this one is authentic even though Cone's example has a maker's name on the reverse and mine does not. Mine appears to be well worn to the dgree that the attaching pin is loose from the plate. Please post yours if you have the time and inclination so we can compare. As allways, thank you for your time and courtesy. Robert

[attachmentid=28422]John, Do you have any clues as to what that is? You must have been shocked when it came out of the ground. Thanks for the advice. I will try that method. Also, when you get a chance, could you look at the ring on your Saar medallion and see if there is a small "tit" on it. This appears not to be an imperfection but a part of the ring. Take a look. Robert

Thanks John and Don, I am debating whether or not to clean it. I got this along with an AH medallion that I've since passed along from a group close to my home. They save all of their vacation and sick days and spend it in Europe with a metal detector looking for relics. Those were two of the things they found. My dilemma is whether or not to clean it to prove its' authenticity or leave it alone. I have yet to decide. Talk Soon, Robert

Thanks a million WARLORD. Perhaps I will attempt to gently clean it and bring out the details. You are a great help. First one for me to see to compare.

Don, Are you sure you don't want to save them for use in your up-coming NSF reference book? Only kidding......though not really.....we need one badly. Great thread guys. I can't wait to move on to scans of the DAF badges. I have a red one to show for comparison. Robert
