Many thanks for the information and the link. That will answer some other questions.

Hi,
I think it's a group leader's badge (or award).
There is a same one here: http://www.netlabor.hu/roncskutatas/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=18991

NaVi
It's a Levente Organization badge, but that's where my information runs out. What is it specifically?

Another tunic I saw in Austria last weekend. This type of tunic does not appear in The Emporers Coat but is referenced in "Imperial and Royal Military Coat 1914.
The drawing shown in the above reference is for an infantry man in the "Royal Hungarian Munkacs 11th Honved infantry regiment in dress uniform" as issued in 1906. It is very similar to the uniform picture posted below. My questions is, is the tunic in this picture an everyday servcie tunic or is it a dress tunic?
Rgeards,
Gordon
Hi Gordon,
Maybe it is a bit late but the answer is yes.
It is an 1906M gyalogsági dolmány (Infantry dress tunic) for officers.

Viktor

Hi Peter,
Yours one is an 1891M belt buckle (very nice ) and the 2nd one is a 1911M for enlisted soldiers in the Royal Hungarian Army. They are heavily faked and private purchased versions as well...

sorry, my mistake.
Peter's one is a 1911M and the 2nd is an 1891M.

I´d love to see more photographs with the belt buckle in wear. The posted photograph is the only one i have.
I know there is this other type as well, but i´m not familiar with what the difference were between the two in the uniform regulations.
And unfortunately i don´t have the other type in my collection either! (I had to pick two photos from a dealers site on-line for this illustration)

Hello,
As far as I know it was awarded him because of direction of the siege of Győr (Raab) in 1849.
He was wearing it as a message for the hungarians... He stopped to wear it after 1914.

Viktor
