    3. A 1944 dated 2/27th infantry battalion slouch hat. [attachmentid=51492]
    4. A 1944 dated AEME slouch hat. Part of a uniform set to H.E Mills [attachmentid=51491]
    5. A 1942 dated 2/4th pioneer battalion slouch hat. Named (and a part of a uniform set) to K.F Wilson. [attachmentid=51490]
    6. A 1942 dated Anti-aircraft unit slouch hat. This hat is a part of a uniform set to Lt. G.A Ruddock. [attachmentid=51489]
    7. A 1945 dated Aussie Signal corps slouch hat. [attachmentid=51488]
    8. A 1942 dated Australian Electrical and mechanical engineers (AEME) slouch hat. A bit moth eaten but it was my first WW2 slouch hat so it's a special one [attachmentid=51487]
    9. I noticed there aren't any posts containing slouch hats on this forum so I thought I would remedy that I have been collecting WW2 Aussie slouch hats since 2003. First up is a 1945 dated 9th division HQ slouch hat. [attachmentid=51486]
    10. i'm afraid it doesn't look too promising and here's why: the patch on your helmet has a 2ndAIF (WW2) grey background border around it. WW1 patches didn't have a background at all. The colour patch is for the 2nd battalion infantry however it was superceded by a patch of the colours purple over green on 16/3/1915.
