Hello all,
Great thread!
Here's my contribution.

The original list had 436 names on it. The additional recipients were probably Honor awards given by Hitler which he also did with the Gold Party Badge and Blood Order. The 1st type badge is much more rare than the RZM marked one. The pins on the 1st types were very fragile and were improved on the later badges.
Can you please post front and back images of a RZM marked badge?

Hello there,
Looks original to me, too bad about the reverse hardware.

Hello there,
I agree with Thomas, a fine original. I would get a good Vaseline treatment on it.

Hello there,
I agree that the badge is a fake.

Hello there,
The construction of the catch screams S&L manufacture.

Hello there,
Is the catch actually silver in color like ssome Schwerin models or has the finish just worn away?

Jeannot,
These are 3 beautiful war badges. I don't know which one I like the best!
Best wishes
Matt
I agree, they are all nice but for me the first badge on the left really takes the prize; cutout swastika, detailed eagle, and a crisp wreath!

Hello there,
An original badge produced in zinc. The original award was the same bronze color as the reverse hardware assembly, but has been lost to time. The reverse hardware is constructed using a different type of metal, and not the low-quality zinc like the rest of the badge, thus the finish on the superior quality metal has held up much better over time.
Very interesting that you have an attributed badge along with the photo of the recipient wearing the badge! Thanks for sharing.

Hello there,
Can you please post a photo of the circle mark on the reverse?
What's with the chemical color on the front of this one?

Hello again,
Can only agree they are both fakes with a "trying to be" FLL eagle.

Not particularly good pictures (ideally, would like to see close-ups of the hinge, rivets and catch) but the badge looks to be a perfectly good example of Juncker’s 3rd pattern (3rd pattern eagle and wreath) pilot’s badge.
I agree.

Here's mine with a low serial number.
That is a low serial number!
Wow.

Hello there,
Terrible fake and I suggest you post everything you come across prior to making a purchase to help with the learning curve of reproductions.
