Hinge and Maker
I've never seen a hinge like this. Is this what they all look like without the paper covering?

TeNo BLUE Mantel - Complete - 1
This type & quality TeNo Mantel doesn't come around very often! A web site recently
listed for sale. [A bit too much on the pricey side for me. I'll have to hope that
another one shows up.]
Described as per the seller: "....VERY RARE TENO OFFICER GREAT COAT.
This is a "Stone Mint" Greatcoat for an Officer of the Teno.
Dark Blue heavy wool with black rayon lining. Has all Teno embossed Aluminium Buttons
to the front and the Single button belt to the reverse. Scharfuhrer ( LTN. ) Rank collar patch
with unit X/14 collar patch. Flatwire Oficer Armeagle and corresponding bullion shoulder boards
-all insignia is originally sewn. ............This is the first one we have seen and know of NO other. ..."

I love the cut of this mantel.

And my 1957 1st Class Cross ( which i still need to get the ribbon for ) :
Personally i think this is one award that has improved with de nazification , i thought the original eagles on the olympic crosses were awful !
It did indeed improve the design as now the award would sit higher on the neck. If you look at the Dietl photo the neck decoration is almost hitting the medal bar, something that would get very annoying throughout the night.

My TENO NCO Visor -- take note of the "piping" used for NCO's ...then compare the piping used on the Collar Tabs of my Officers Tunic above. I have never seen this mentioned in any of our Books and thought it should be pointed out.
I have never seen piping like that before, killer visor!

Hello there,
I'm not buying it. Looks fantasy to me.

Hello there,
Looks like you have quite the collection of insignias in back of the tunic as well!
Nice display.

Hi Darius...
It is an A2 (2nd pattern) wreath, but not the A2 you may be thinking about!
Assmann produced a very early wreath known as the "Egg shaped" wreath (thus far found on combined pilot/observer, pilot and para badges) which is the true A1 wreath, making this type of wreath an A2.
Shown below are examples of the wreaths produced by Assmann.
Left: A1 (egg shaped) wreath. Middle: A2 (as per the one shown in the picture you posted) wreath. Right: A3 wreath.
I'll take that Paratrooper badge when you're done with it

Hello there,
All nice badges, but that first Assman is just stellar IMO!

Hello there,
I have yet to find an example of this badge that I believe to be reproduction, in a sense, they are so rare they seem to be a safe buy "if" you can come across one.
Nice badges!

Hello there,
I don't see anything wrong with this one.

Hello there,
It is my opinion that pricing mother's crosses is a difficult task as they are so relatively common and when it comes time to sell there's a ton of competition.

Hello there,
Are there other states that have a similar medal for shooting? Are they of the same pattern or is this strictly of Saxon design?

Hello again,
Yes I saw that flag on waf also. It seems the larger the flag the less people interested in them cause of the size and inability to really display them. That is quite a beautiful flag you have there in any case!
regards
Duzig(Bill)
Yeah, that is the problem when it comes to selling a larger flag; people just don't want them because they can't be displayed most of the time.

Hello there,
I have never seen a multi-colored tab like the first one posted, can anyone else share some examples?

Here is the RARE bird... a Kriegsmarine enlisted M1943 field cap. This is the one pictured in the 3-volume set of books on the Kriegsmarine. Apparently it came out of Bob Alexander's collection at some point.
That is a rare cap! I have never even seen an authentic one in a collection before!
