Hello there,
I would believe $35.00 is about right for these medals in the condition the zinc is in with almost all of the finish lost to time; they still make great display pieces obviously.

Hello there,
Interesting to not see a nice EK_2 mounted on that one as well as you typically see.

Hi,
Judging from this picture alone, I would say it's an original 1939 iron cross, second class,
with a Souval frame and what looks like an Orth core.
More pictures (straight on) of both front and back will help clarify.
Regards - Danny
He hit the nail on the head with this one!

Hello there,
Nicely worn early Deumer. I really like the front of the "26" B.H. Mayer you showed as well, has a great look to it.

Pay attention to what I am showing you in this photo (the corner where the beads intersect)
These are referred to as "Crow's feet" in the corners.
I hope this has helped some.

Hello there,
Sorry, but that is nothing like an original Souval EK_2.
Here's some photos for reference; surely you can see the differences.

Hello there,
Just goes to show you what a quality maker Deumer really was as typically these early crosses stand the test of time rather well.

Hello there,
The cross posted just oozes history.
Beautiful example of a combat-worn piece.

Hello there,
Not an original cross. Just a reproduction that has been artificially aged to go along with a BS story behind it.

Hello there,
Completely original Meybauer and about the nicest job on removing the swastika that I've ever seen.

Rob,
Really a nice display with the dagger, which is about my favorite Third Reich dagger of all time. I have crushed white velvet behind some of my medals, and I must say I'm envious of that red silk/satin look.

Hello there,
Did it come with the dagger?

Hello there,
Is there any reason you would assume the belt hasn't been with that buckle of its life?

Hello there,
It looks as if two buckles have been made into one. If it were cheap I might jump on it as it does look rather appealing to the eyes but who knows during what time period it was assembled.

Hello there,
You can tell that's an early one from the reverse as well with those two circular indentations such as you see on WW1 buckles. Can anyone let me know why we see these markings as it almost looks as if they're drilled into the buckle itself.

Some collectors believe that it was also used to help keep the belt from sliding around the tunic - especially with ammo pouches attached. These leather tabs were discontinued in '42.....If you happen to see any dated '43 - '45, then those are reproductions!
Hope that helps.
Rob
That's quite an easy way to determine one as reproduction or authentic right off the bat!

Hello there,
Interesting photo and just goes to show you that sometimes regulations just were not followed, even by Officers.
