Hello all,
The NSDAP is a transitional peice that dates from mid-Jan 1935 and the end of March 1935, when M1 prefixes were added. A very short window. Marked on the reverse No25 for Rudolf Reiling, Pforzheim - M1/25. Minor crazing to the enamel, but really a nice badge

Hello there,
Nice thread dedicated to one of the most under-appreciated awards of the Third Reich.

Hello there,
The reverse hardware on this one reminds me of post-war Souval production.

Thank you for your reply, could you be more specific about the 'accusations, theories and vendettas', I'm new at this and would like to learn.
Thank you again,
Cliff
Cliff,
I am sure if you do a web-search on "dotted DKiG" you will come up with plenty of reading material.

Hello there,
That's the first time I have seen one. In your opinion does it match up in a lack of quality like all the other Hymenn produced badges?

Hello there,
That would have made a nice Christmas present back then!

Hello there,
One thing that I always studied on OK's was not only the maker mark but the catch. If you view these and notice how they are on originals you should be much better off at spotting the fakes.

Hello there,
Very interesting article and thank you for sharing.
Is there a prisoner name list for this camp? Do you know if anyone there was required to pick cotton? The reason I ask is that a friends father (last name of Kukuk) was a POW, and I believe sent to Texas to work a cotton-field.

It does bear the makers mark S-W, so I should be okay keeping it along with my magnetic S-W?
Hello there,
Well then the fame would be identical so you can check to see if it is authentic that way. Non-ferrous EK cores are common and were awarded to all branches of service within the Wehrmacht.

Hello there,
The Deschler is really nice but I've never seen a KvK w/o swords from S&L - anyone else have an example to compare?

Hello there,
As stated these are not original runes on the ribbon bar.

Hello there,
I believe this to be a period-produced EK_2 in nice condition. What makes you believe it is a Souval example?

Hello there,
While the ribbon bar is slightly fadded the mounted medals are in most excellent condition. Nice addition you have there.

Hello there,
I don't see anything wrong with this one in terms of construction/manufacture. I would guess that this one would be sell for about $50.00 - $60.00 as it is slightly more uncommon than the Heer and Luftwaffe examples that are often seen.
Hope this helps.
