      Hi Dunny,

I have just joined this site after coming across it. I have a lightweight Land Rover which I am in the process of refurbishing it from Army to RN Colours. It will be painted Royal Navy Blue and fully signed up with all the RN Markings including a ships crest on the front. Now back to your request for the colour scheme? I have been in touch with all the Landrover Magazines, Imperial War Museum and the Royal Naval Photographic Society. None of which have any photo's??? Except I did get a reply from the Editor of Landrover Enthusiast Magazine. He sent me a picture of a Landrover in RN Colours. The only thing I saw which is different from when I served in the RN was that they had marked the RN letters on the back of the sides rather than "Royal Navy" which is what I am doing? Also it has 2 crests, one on the front grill and one on the door? I will only have one crest on mine. My wheels will be painted RN Blue and a White Roof. Also its going to be fitted out with radio's in the back and wing boxes with aerials on the wings and on the side. What photo's I have got, I am willing to send you copies attached to an email. so Please contact me direct.

I have tried to attach the file but its 270 odd Kilobytes and I cannot seem to shrink the picture. So please contact me to send you the picture

      Cheers and good luck

      Hi all

I have acquired a 1969 Long Wheel Base Series 2a Land Rover that started life with teh Royal Navy as a parade vehicle (apparently!). Despite my best efforts I can't find a picture of what it should look like, colours markings ETC. If anyone has any pics of or even has a similar car I would love to hear from them.

      Dunney
