oes not seem to correspond with either Yugo or US 60mm rounds......
Maybe a UK or a Romanian 60mm round?

Lion,
The Arabic reads,
60mm Mortar
Sh - F - T
63/1 - 81/9
Regards,
Owain
Thank you Owain for the translation.
Thanks for posting!
The 60mm is not a very common mortar caliber -- the biggest user was the US, particularly the WWII-era M2 and M19 mortars. Not sure if the UK used this. I'm sure a few made their way to the Middle East, including (possibly) Jordan, Saudi Arabia, etc. Yugoslavia also made a 60mm mortar (M57), not sure if any made their way to the Middle East.

Thank you for that, Here I was thinking that it was a western made.
Could very well be a Yugo. Shell, we supplied a lot of weapons/tanks etc. to some of the Arab states.
the Tip of the shell looks like it is missing.
Well, I know that Yugoslavia was close to both Syria and Egypt.
I am guessing 1960s? or 1970s?

The last one doesn't look middle eastern to me. I was thinking about southeast asia. Maybe Indonesia or some place in Indochina??

The first one is a visor badge from the Yemeni Arab Republic " North Yemen"
The green one is from the Republic of Egypt, 1950s. That is also a beret badge.

The RG is Black but it have a red enameled or cloth strip next to the eagle. They are hard to find.
The feyadeen is Black with a saddam enameled pin.
The logistics. I have to look at my collection and I have to get back with you on that one.

I was told that the Black was used by both the Navy and Fedayeen

Hi,
The top is the Syrian Ba'athist motto seen on many patches - "nation, honor. loyalty"
The bottom says "al-maghawir" (المغاوير), or "[the] Commandos"
If you Google the motto "nation, honor. loyalty", be careful what links you click on. The motto is used by the pro-Assad hackers of the Syrian Electronic Army, so there might be malware on a site they've hacked and left that message.
Hello Dave,
Thank you for all your help and for the heads up on the Syrian Electronic Army.
