Dan if I were you I would go for brass one from cap stars, as veterans done long time ago. You can find gold made ones, but the problem with that you need to research and find exactly the same H&S
:speechless:

Good lord! What a smile!
What was her job anyway? She looks like she could clear a mine field just by staring at it!
dairymaid, only a dairymaid awarded 2 HSL, but I bet she could do more than we can imagine

taht is wery interesting and well done research, I think the same , just painted to look good, in previous topic I was talking about post USSR Armenian troops, sorry for not making things clear.

Thath would be defiantly Armenian and as far as I remember there was only one tank regiment, head of this regiment now a general and in Armenia they don't say his name aloud only 'general'

Here is another young sergeant Adel Litvinenko , no toy uniform, proper rank in RKKA and real Order of Red Star, awarded in 1942, in 1944 she had 3 ORSs, do i need to mention that PPsH is also a real one? and yes she is a female

Now, see there was my problem; I asked young Armenians! Thanks for the info.
You can find that symbol in many places even on the churches, but symbol itself is pre-Christian

No one could answer what the flower-like symbol represents on the turret.
old Armenian symbol of eternity.

Also, if I'm correct this is a Type 1 Border Reverse. Please correct me if I'm wrong. According to the Red Bible the highest SN observed at that time was 724 and this of course is just over that.
Dan
It's a copy of type 1 Border reverse

Thanks Victor! Excellent info! So basically any that have that raised base at the bottom of the screw post are bad. Are there any pointers re: ones with the pin backs or are they not faked (yet)?
Dan
That is correct, just a basic one and I personally haven't seen a pinback fake yet

QUOTE (Rick Research @ Jan 31 2008, 00:58 ) he is wearing a "toy" uniform with the awards of his dead father or brother.
Was that common and allowed in the CCCP ?
Best regards
Christian
I don't think so, the guy on the photo is actual sergeant imho , would try to find more info about this person.
and another photo, just to keep thread going Mikhail Belski , second bravery got for Japan

QUOTE(Belaruski @ Aug 7 2007, 15:49 ) The later the badge the less likely it is to be a fake. Check CollectRussia.com for a good selection of Deputy badges. Ebay is good too, but seller ID's are easily changes if they're selling 'dodgy' items.
That said I would be very surprised if people were faking late Soviet Georgian badges.
* As a point regional Soviets are cheaper (in quality and price) compared to Supreme Soviet ones *
Thank you very much BELARUSKI . What do you think about this flag?
It's an original, only one think, It's not Georgian it's Abkhasian ASSR. I know a dealer who have one for sell right now with doc
would respectfully disagree about the prises, regionals are more rare hence more expensive than Supreme
Dan. Suprime and 1st BSSR (Belarus) are genuine, rest of them -not

Of course you mean the photo beneath the stamp that says "Valid Without Photograph?" Fraudsters abound and this "group" is a good example.
well that could happened, recipient could add his/her photo later on, no restrictions, but as one colleague mentioned 'if a person in SU woud get a picture of himself for the award booklet-he would wear actual awards in that photo'

I don't think that is entirely true. I know absolutely nothing on this subject but there were plenty of hammer & sickle/red star insignia to be seen when I was aboard a Russian destroyer in 2006. Even the cap a member of the crew gave me (see above) still retains the red star with hammer & sickle insignia.
I have seen them as well, but those are long gone out of state military regulations even the red star from submarine badge have been removed .

Post WW1 Award
in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Posted · Edited by ph3s
I would second it and when the WW1 ended, Russia was already in the middle of Civil War, there were other awards, other events.
