The Soldbuch has an interesting note which I should have pointed out a few pages back. I have seen examples that have had items pasted within it as shown previously.

The equipment issue and weapon issue I thought was really cool!

Dog tag. There is a typo on it, according to Soldbuch which will be shown in a minute, it should read G.E.B. 484 but reads 494.

Okay, here are the pics I promised. First, let me say I am not a professional photographer. Be glad I can work the camara to start, but hey I tried. Second, there are alot of pics I have included but this does not represent the complete set of articles I purchased of this man. I have heard this set described as a "lifetime find", "crown jewel of a collection", and so on.

Absolutely fantastic set. I really love sets like yours. I don't understand why sellers want to break up sets like that. I also love those old German films. That was one bad ass crew, didn't recognize the four engine aircraft, what was it?

Just bought this and thought I would share. As a minimum it should prolong the COA debate.

This signal flag came off the retired US Navy Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64) now on display in Norfolk, VA. This flag was sold off when the Wisconsin was being renovated and had been with the ship for years. It is for the "Second Substitute" and comes with an official certificate of authenticy, is in good but used and a bit frayed condition. A great piece of naval history of a capital ship that served from WWII through Desert Storm. As an aside - the auctioneer was married aboard the Wisconsin in 2005 under the 16"guns - the biggest shotgun wedding of all time! LOL
