As a matter of interest THE GREAT WAR FORUM at:-
http://1914-1918.inv...rums/index.php?
has quite a few knowledgeable people with regards the Connaught Ranger Battalions in WW1.
Sure to be somebody there, if nobody here is able to point you in the right direction.

Sorry nothing concrete to back it up but my impression would be Spain, Portugal or a South American country.
Any Photographer info on the card?

Many thanks for taking the time to look, any to locate any info via the Census?
Stuck in Transylvania does not give me to many options for research, only via the net.

If a WW2 period Romanian ribbon it is a ribbon for "Military Virtue" this ribbon can be found on the Order of the Star of Romania, and the Order of the Crown of Romania, in place of the normal ribbon's and its also featured on the Romanian Military Virtue Cross (off the top of my head for Non-Commissioned Officers & Men.) The "Military Virtue" ribbon is in itself a distinction that the award was made for being in direct combat / contact with an enemy.
The "Military Virtue" is also found backing the Romanian Wound badge for WW1.
Somewhere in my collection is a postcard with an Officer from Württemberg sporting a Bavarian MVK ribbon for his efforts in collecting Church bells for the war effort. I have scanned the details:-

Hopefully suitable warnings will be displayed to stop people attempting to create the mixture in its volatile form?
On history channel t.v. shows I did notice they never reveal all of the ingredients with regards explosives, to prevent
idiots trying to make the stuff.
Any Legal concerns if "johnny comes lately" blows his fingers off, and then tries sues the people who mounted the exhibition listing ingredients?

With regards post number 6 and 19 I have a similar badge however its inscribed:
"Immer Bereit Für Frieden und Völksfreundschaft."
Size: 31mm x 27mm.
Pressed brass.
Very similar as number 3 top right, post 6.
I also have a same size similar design with a blue flag and letters "JP" in the background of the two runners

Hallo Gents,
Any information with regards this piece please?
Left facing profile of King VITTORIO EMANUELE III
Country of origin: Italy.
Diameter: 32mm
I did come across reference too the following:-
Awarded to Italian troops that fought against the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) in the Libyan Campaign of 1911-12. It was also known as the Tripolitan War and was regarded by the Italian Government as a separate action during the Italo -Turkish War. The obverse is the same as the Italo Turkish War Medal. "The two medals have identical ribbons of blue and red stripes. The obverses are also identical, carrying the likeness of King Vittorio Emanuele III. "In the above described medal, the profile of King VITTORIO EMANUELE III is facing to the right.

Hallo A.Kich,
welcome to the Forum, Beautiful looking piece, off the top of my head a literal translation would be: "Squadron Submersibles" i.e, submarine squadron, the dolphin is a symbol used by the Italians for submariners. Appears to be Hallmarked silver, and with the crown, appears to be from the period of WW1-WW2, the Italians were prolific makers of military unit commemorative medals and insignia, many official and unofficial, but tolerated, this might have been worn as jewelry by a sailor or given to his girlfriend.

Hi Paddy,
I fully intend to keep all together as found, I was considering obtaining better ribbon for a framed display.
Yup, quite a few McKenna's out there, but we can keep trying.
