Hello Gentlemen!
Is it possible to identify this Legion of Honor-Officer on the maker and the period?
Thanks in advance

Many thanks Gents!
I also have doubts about this item. It seems to me , this is the original non silver BMVK 2nd class with attached fake top part and new made ring.

Hello Gentlemen!
Photos are very bad, but what do you think on this one? Looks like a fake, however the seller gives guarantees of 100 % original
Thanks in advance

Hello Gentlemen!
I have a question: one of the criteria of awarding by "Kriger-Ehrenzeichen in Eisen" was the earlier awarding of the military man by an Iron Cross. But was it EK-1 or EK-2?
Thanks in advance

Hello Sergio:
The medal is definately not "original". "Original" (awarded) pieces were struck in steel and are magnetic. This piece appears to be a period (1930's) privately-made piece for veterans. It is therefore a valid collectible item and not a modern-day forgery made to deceive collectors (which would be worthless in my opinion). From what I see of the group and the field ribbon bar, there are no problems and everything seems to be as it should be.
Congratulations!
"SPM"
ps: A general word of caution, just because a piece is found on any dealer's website, this should not give it 100% creedence. Dealers are human (they don't know everything and can make mistakes). That being said, I personally have never had a problem with Mr. Weitze and believe that he is one of the better dealers. There are other dealers to be found that are very dishonest however.
Hallo Schießplatzmeister.
Many thanks for your instructive reply! Now there is no doubt for me about originality of the medal bar!
Best regards,
Sergio

The basic difference - proportions of white and red strips on a ribbon.
I understand that frequently Medal bar makers didn't see distinctions between the ribbons. But it is impossible to exclude a variant with hessian LS-medal in the absence of other hessian awards. For example, just remember the medal bar, which was shown by Claudio with baden LS-medals in the absence of other baden awards:

Why not?

Hello Everyone,
I've wanted to post this group for some time now but something always seemed to come up and it just never happened. Anyway, here is an Imperial German group that one on my fellow GMIC members made available to me for my collection that features the TWM ribbon.
I have also attached a photo of my TWM collection so far. Sorry that the photo has picked up the red hue from the drawer lining, but I figured you'd get the "picture". I have posted this in the Imperial German section as that is where this collection resides as I don't actually collect the medals of Turkey...yet.
Regards
Brian
But it seems to me, that the fourth band is not ТWМ's band. It is a band of the Gessian LS medal.

Hi all, here is some better pics of this mysterious ribbonbar
If number four is the Bavarian Sanitets Cross for home service , and no five is Bulgarian Bravery I lean towards Finnish Bravery 1918 ? on last place
The question is , was he a Bavarian ? There isn´t that many Bavarians with SEHO listed.....
A interesting one
Christer
The winner for sure was from Sax-Coburg-Gotha.
In 1920 Saxen-Coburg-Gotha became a part of Bavaria. Under the circumstances can be explained presence of the the Bavarian Red Cross medal, which was founded in 1924.
