No one wants to say more?
It's still original!
Perfect badge!

Much of the lettering is not crisply defined. I personally would pass on this one.
But I have made a close study of pictures once again.
In spite of all the above-mentioned lacks of the award, small details in a figure of a bear are top-quality made! Just take note of the bear's teeth! Besides, a good indication is that the crown isn't connected to a ribbon of the legend. The award is made from fine silver and looks pretty old...Maybe it can be original private made piece nevertheless?

Hello, dear Gents!
What do you think about this one? It was sold at eBay yesterday: 3,31 cm x 4,3 cm, 16,05 gramm.
Looks fine, but I have some doubts...
Better pictures:

Hi
It is a crown of the King Louis-Philippe period. It is not a trefoil, but a "fleuron" (a sort of flower) in French.
Usually, the crowns of this period don't have this kind of ornament at the top. This kind of crowns with that kind of cross-like "fleuron" have been reported sometimes.

Bison
Hello, Bison, thank you very much for the explanation!

I agree, they do look different. I would suggest contacting Bison a member of GMIC. He seems to be an expert on LOH.

and the French site http://www.forum-ins...-medailles.net. The French site has many experts on LOH as well.
Best Wishes,
Marcus
Many thanks, Marcus!

Hi Sergio,
There is a Medal of Honor from the Second Restoration period with same trefoil top on the crown. However the medallion has King Henri IV rather than Napoleon.

Hello Marcus! Thanks for your reply! But there are lilies, not trefoil on the LoH from the Second Restoration!

Any opinions?

Hello Gents!
Please, help me to identify the time period of this type of LoH's crown with a trefoil on the top. This award - a hybrid with medallions of the 2-nd Empire, but I've never seen the same crown before.
Thanks in advance

Sergio, are there any marks on the bottom arm of your cross?
Hello Stogieman! As far as I know, there are no any marks.

Mine is silver made, without stamp. Yours and mine look rather similar...
Hello Pinpon590!
Many thanks for you reply!
Yes, both crosses are similar!
But whether your cross was discussed on originality?
