Hi Peter,
thank you for your elaborate answer, I now know what you mean.
W&S was also my thought when I compare the oval plate assembly. On the core type I also agree. So now I have to go through all the databases to find this core in an WS or SW example ?
Thank you,
Michel

I've not come across that type of pin specifically but the style of fixing appears somewhat similar to that employed by DEUMER ? Collecting EKIs on the basis of their pins is a novel approach and, personally, I would be more concerned with the obverse details on this piece. I don't share your opinion on the craftmanship but I do understand its appeal.
Hi Peter
interesting comment, regarding it I have two questions;
1) Can you show a Deumer hinge you are referring to?
2) please elaborate the "I would be more concerned with the obverse details on this piece." What are your concerns?
Thank you,
Michel

Hi All,
thanks to Markus, who identified the maker and helped convince me that the medal is authentic (I mainly collect imperial German), I am now the proud owner of this French made, Bertrand Lion and Sun order. It is dates probably from the 1875 to 1900 era.
Thanks again Markus
Best regards,
Michel
