Hello Ulsterman,
On the back along with the standard GES. GESCH. - STH - silver stamp 935 is a number 540 - there's no date engraved. I'll try and get a picture of the back on the thread tomorrow.

Hello Gentlemen,
Thanks for the posts and information - couple of points I'd like to go through.
Rick,
I'm on the cusp of closing the deal for the medal bar, but I'm thrashing around in the dark for a price for the Friedrich Order, so regard, even your over 20 year old price, as not without value, for me it is a starting point.
I fully concur with your assessment, that its a military doctor's medal bar I found this link (http://home.att.net/~david.danner/mi...erttemberg.htm )- Friedrich Order - Knights Cross 2nd Class with Swords issued (to quote) - "Among junior officers, the Ritterkreuz II. Klasse mit Schwertern was typically awarded to Oberleutnante and Leutnante" a doctor would be given such a rank.

Hello W. McSwiggan,
As the Friedrick's Order was a officier's award. I was wondering, how high was the number of medals awarded?.

Evening All,
I was offered this four piece WW1 German Medal Bar with ribbon bar today, unfortunately I've had to crop the picture right down in order to get it to load up. A couple of questions - the unknown medal (at least to me) is the second one between Iron Cross 2nd Class & Hindernburg Cross ( think it may be Prussian, due ribbon colour) the fourth medal on the right is red cross. What is the second medal, if its a officer's medal coupled with the red cross medal would it mean the original wearer was a doctor or has it no bearing and the wearer was a normal sanit?ter. Also could someone give me a rough price, what one should pay.

Evening All,
I bought this German Parachute KVK 2nd Class +Swords document along with the medal on Saturday from local the flea-market. Two questions - the only other document I've found of this design was for Luftwaffe personnel, so did the Luftwaffe their own design for presentation documents? Second question - the main reason I bought it was that, it was issued to a member of the german parachute forces which were small in number and gives the document a rarity value for a collector, but of how much?. Perhaps Mr P. Keating may be able to help.

Also the Military Service Cross 3rd Class is it 3 Form or 4 Form. Any information would help.

Better pictures are needed, could you post a full frontal picture i.e.90 degrees to object, if possible without the the flash glare in picture.

Hello All,
I picked this SA stick pin up today - I've looked through my Tieste Abzeichen catalogue and drew a blank, I think it may be a membership badge, but if anyone has a definite idea please let me know.

Hello Claymore,
Lucky you, I'm working from the 1st edition catologue 1989 - 170 pages, very poor photo - copied pictures some are just a black blob, it leaves a lot to be desired, but then I suppose Tieste had to start somewhere and 70 euro for a lastest edition is still a large wedge.

Hello All,
We'd a glorious weather this weekend in South Germany - lots of people up & about. On Saturday I trawled through three different flea-markets in the area picking a number of tinnes
-
Top row left - 1935 Frei ist the Saar - Top middle - Day Tinnie - Kurmark Guben 1935 -Top right - a rememberance tinnie for 99th Mountain Troop Regiment ( every year usually beginning October there's a church service for fallen soldiers on the Grunten mountain out side Sonthofen) this one is for 1988 (40 years)
Bottom row - two stick pins & two tie-pins all belonging to VdH ( Verein der Heimkehrer) which was a association of WW2 German POW's who had returned home. Not sure if the numbers 20-25 denote length of membership time per man or existance time of the association
