Ralph A Posted December 3, 2006 Author Posted December 3, 2006 The usual array of Sacred Treasures, Golden Kite, Rising Sun, China Incident, Enthronement and Red Cross Danglers.
Ralph A Posted December 3, 2006 Author Posted December 3, 2006 Too much fun. I think I went to school with the guy in the middle...
Ralph A Posted December 3, 2006 Author Posted December 3, 2006 I have forgotten the name of this people. If I remember correctly, they represent the original inhabitants of the Japanese islands and they got sort of a raw deal much like Native Americans. I think. All for now. Thanks for looking.
Paul L Murphy Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 The indiginous people in the last post are called Ainu. They were forced ever northwards by Japanese settlers until they ended up in the northern part of Hokkaido. Interesting culture, they worshipped bears among other things. In post 3 he appears to be wearing a Chinese order on his medal bar after the Rising Sun. Can we have a close-up of it ???
Bear Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Great pictures Ralph. The photo in post #7 is rather spooky. thanks, barry

Paul L Murphy Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 The photo in 13 is a very nice example of a General's full dress uniform, not Imperial Guard. As far as I am concerned you can keep all the grubby field gear with battle stains, just give me a nice pre war dress uniform like this with lots of glittery things hanging on it !
