Igor Starikow Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Dear forum members! I am looking for some information about Kapitanleutnant/Korvettenkapitan and Pour-le-Merite-Trager Max Viebeg (6 April 1887 - 9 November 1961).Where he was born and died? Does anyone have a complete list of his awards and decorations? Any info about his assignments and promotions will be very useful. ThanksIgor

Igor Starikow Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 Hello! Many thanks for your answers, Rick Research! They are a great help.I`m sorry but I have two other questions. Where Max Viebeg was born and died?As I know last his Rank was Korvettenkapitan. When Viebeg was promoted to this Rank? Thanks.Igor
Guest Rick Research Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I do not know the places where he was born and died-- maybe that is in a book on Pour le Merite holders. If he was a Korvettenkapit?n he must have been promoted to that rank during WW2. He was not listed in the 1960 MOHeV address directory, so the last rank status I have for him was in May 1939 when he was still a KaptLt zS aD.
