ehrentitle Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I don't collect Japanese Awards but purchased what appears to be some type of Japanese medal in a mixed lot of US insigina. No sure what period or even if it is Japanese. I've attached a photo, would be interested in your comments. Kevin
Panzer57 Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Very interesting!? It appears to Japanese, with the "Mum" in the center. But I think it was hand made. The Japanese medals I've seen are of Good high quality. Maybe a personal locket? Thanks!
ehrentitle Posted July 24, 2005 Author Posted July 24, 2005 Thanks - I thought it might be civil, something like police and perhaps postwar since it does not appear to have many signs of age. No marks that I can see on the obverse. Kevin
