My Grandad's medals. He served in the RAAF during WW2 and served his time out in Australia. The Australian Service Medal 19-39-45 is a recent issue.

I think he was released from service in the Army because his brother was captured at Crete and was given the option of leaving. It was an interesting twist to my research.
