That is a M1910 uniform so this officer's photo is probably from about 1915.

That cannot be the person you are asking about.

    Hallo Marder

If, for example the person was 22 during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 / 71, he would have been

    22 years old in 1870.

    32 years old in 1880.

    42 years old in 1890.

    52 years old in 1900.

62 years old in 1910. (Uniform in the picture has been identified as a Model 1910 by Rick).

The gentleman in the picture does not look to be 62 years old.

You state that Heinrich Schmidt was born on 29.11.1848 in 1870 he would have been aproxamatly 22 years old.

Is it possible the picture is of a relative to Heinrich Schmidt ??

If Heinrich Schmidt left Prussia for Brazil in after 1879 how could he wear a Prussian uniform in 1910??

    Mfg Kevin in Deva.
