Tiger-pie Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 This shot shows a Landrover disembarking from an LCM8 onto the beach during Exercise Talisman Saber, a combined Australian US exercise. You can see some Hummers in the background that belong to the Marines. My main reason for posting this photo is the geometric camouflage pattern used by the Australian Army on its vehicles that require a canvas cover. For those familiar with German camouflage, it is almost like the WW1 "Lozenge" pattern used on aircraft at the time, with an "Ambusch" overlay from 1944. Despite appearances it is very effective, even from short distances. Regards;Johnsy
