Small Weimar buckle

Hey gang...you might have seen this buckle before but I am dying to find out who was issued this small trouser buckle? It certainly looks military in nature....anyhow...I'm stumped.

Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.

The rear has the slide type of catch....no prongs on this little guy:

Here it is with its more common "big brother"....the small buckle also looks like it had a gold wash to it....only small remnants remain in the nooks and crannies.

Maybe it belonged to a child's play uniform?

I Found this on an Auction site here in NZ. The seller wants heaps for it...lol

Wonder if its one of these Childs toy buckles??
