Guest Rick Research Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Up here "Beast" Butler is better known as the Commandant of occupied New Orleans (issued an order that women displaying the Confederate colors as bodices and aggressively "dis-respecting" Federal troops were to be treated as "common women of the street" which took care of THAT and earned him his sobriquet ) and one of a long and apparently never ending supply of nonentities occupying the job of Governor of Massachusetts.
