Found this one at a flea market near Wurzburg, Germany around 1993-94. Very interesting looking fellow but as always (or so it seems to always be like this) no name on the reverse,

Beautifully lit portrait of the Major, wearing ONLY his decorations and none of the "clutter."

I suspect from the positioning, that scribble may well be his autograph and date and not the photographer's.
