I've had this photo for 17 years & not identified the location. WWI? The base at Etaples, following an air raid? Following the mutiny?

I don't know where it is or what type of incident it shows the aftermath of.

The text on the back isais in English, possibly continuing on the text from another photo or a letter, man in the cap may be British, but it's not easy to tell from his cap & the other clothing worn.
