18year Police Ribbon Bar

Hello,

Here is my Police ribbon bar for 18 years service that features an Eastern front ribbon. I fins it rather neat, and it was given to me back in February 2008.

Of course, one shudders to think what that "ordinary police battalion" member was DOING in the East then.

Yes, there is a REALITY to these things of ours. Sometimes the most ... ordinary looking items... represent the worst that man can be-- homicidally "efficient" bureaucrats.

As a First War veteran, he must have worn this literally for only a few months of 1942/43 before updating to his 25 in 1943.
