German medal 1914-1918, please help me!

My name is Lasse from Sweden and I?m a brand new member in this forum. I?m a collector of Red Cross medals Worldwide and sometimes some other medals come into my hand. And one of them is this medal. Please can someone help me with this. What is it and if someone can help me with what the medal can be worth.

This is a 1920s vanity (self-purchased) veterans award from Prussia. There were literally hundreds of similar items, all eagerly sold by local groups and bought by veterans trying to make themselves look like Field Marshal von Hindenburg!

This is one of the nicer quality and design unofficial local veterans badges. All of them were banned when the Hindenburg Cross was created in 1934.

Detev Niemann's big catalog has plenty of these veteran awards... I'll check when I come home.
