sabrigade Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Formed in 1904, this force also merged into the South African Police on its formation on 1 April 1913. To form the Cape Mounted Police, the mounted police divisions of the Cape Colony were merged.

There are tremendous gaps in available references to South African early insignia and this is one of them. This is one reason why I am adding these posts and that is to attempt to both gather and spread the knowledge base I/we have.Regards,Will
