Guest Rick Research
Gold medals were given to officers and silver medals--as here-to other ranks for the victory at La F?re Champenoise under the coalition command of the then-Crown Prince of W?rttemberg. This was the beginning of the imminent FIRST "end" of Napoleon. This is the last one folks from the most recent visit of the Traveling Museum. While there was only one obverse die, there were 2 for this medal-- below is the 2nd die reverse, and what the entire ancient but incorrect ribbon looks like:Any details on the engagement etc gratefully appreciated by The Epson Operator.
