Iver Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Probably a chain of an A-H veteran? From medals only WM1873 and service cross for XII years service...
Iver Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 ..reverse... service cross is from two pieces...
Guest Rick Research Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 That's a delightful little thing-- never seen anything like that before! I cannot read what the Saint George design medal in the middle says-- is it some sort of local veterans' association medal? As the Germans say, "sehr h?bsch."

Gobag Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Hello! Sorry for the bad news, but I think it's a "fantasy-chain".There are only two real miniatures. The second miniature is an Austrian war medal, and the fifth is a military long service cross.I think, the first "thing" is a star from a german shoulder strap(might be post war).Third: star from a hungarian shoulder strapFourth: St. Georg coin. You can find it, some numismatics site.Sixth: a simple badge with austrian coat of arms.Regards
Iver Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 Gobag: Thanks for reply. I knew the other one were not miniatures, therefor I wrote only about two miniatures. I dont think its a fantasy chain. The old soldier has just added some more "badges", to make the chain look better.. But thats only my opinion..
Guest Rick Research Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Right-- patriotic kitsch. But very nice with the lions' heads instead of a plain lapel chain.
