Near-Mint M34 Civic Fire Police Helmet

    Recommended Posts

    Hello everyone,

Here is my other pickup from the recent gun show (along with my m42 I just posted), a nearly mint M34 Fire Police helmet. It is almost untouched besides a few scrapes and scuffs, and the liner is beautiful as well. The neckguard (designating it as a fire helmet) is also totally intact with all the t prongs still there. The decals appear to be original as well, as can be confirmed later after I post the pics. All in all, I haven't seen many of these in this type of shape. It has the standard D.R.P. Thale marking with the lion and a giant capital "A" found on many of these civic helmets (forgot to get a pic of the marking, but it's the standard one seen on all originals of this type, can get one later if needed). Ok then, on with the pics!

    Thanks again,

    Pat

Any comments at all out there? Any help or further confirmation of what I've already mentioned before in the post would be appreciatied. Also any info on the white dots that appear on mine and the other Fire Police helmet I posted on recently would be great!

Thanks for any comments and thanks for looking,

    Pat

Personally, I think it's some type of deterioration of the metal or paint. Check out this similar helmet with very similar white spots, http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=613, they're just a little more prevalent on Tony's example. This would lead me to believe it was inherent in this type of helmet, or maybe they're from the same batch or at least use the same manufacturing process and materials. Any further expertise out there?

    Thanks for the responses Leigh,

    Pat
