shaneos3 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Hi All, I have seen a Spanish Cross in Gold for sale identical to the following SC in Silver. This Silver cross is described in the book "Foreign Service decorations of the 3rd Reich" as a "non presentation award, private purchase Spanish Cross with swords by firm C.E Junker" but from reading past forums I have doubts about its authenticity. I understand that presentation award CEJ SCs had a slightly different eagle, different CEJ MM and the lower swaz arm filled in but were there also private purchase SCs like this one? I have seen many so called "genuine" SCs with the same CEJ MM as this for sale that certainly look old, worn and real but that doesn't convince me and the book is old and could also be wrong. I would welcome any comments at all on this subject.
